When I went on a trip to the USA 5 years ago, everything I experienced was totally different from what I had thought. As soon as I arrived at the NewYork International Airport, everything seemed so unreal. I felt like I was in the American drama or movie. I slowly looked around the new environment and Americans. I might look like a total tourist from the local people's view. To go on sightseeing, I went to the Information desk to ask how to buy a ticket to Times Square which is a famous landmark in NewYork. But I found out that my luggage was too heavy for carrying around in crowded places, so I decided to go to a hotel first. After I arrived at the hotel, I showed my passport to a receptionist and received the room key. After I dropped my baggage in my room I departed to Times Square. Just like other tourists, I visited the 'I ❤️NY gift shop' and bought some souvenirs like postcards and t-shirts for my family and friends first. Usually, If I don't buy the souvenirs for my people first, It makes me feel so anxious while spending the rest of the travel days. That is why I bought the souvenirs first while traveling in NewYork.

I agree that It is important to travel to other countries to better understand other people. It is because if you don't put yourself in someone else's shoes, you will never fully understand their situations. Sometimes, learning from experience is better than learning from a book. In life, we learn many things through both experience and books. Generally, books give us fundamental knowledge about a topic and we strengthen what we have learned from books through experience. So at that point, If you travel to other countries and experience what actually happens in the real world, you can genuinely understand what you have learned from books. And Finally, by sincerely experiencing other people's lives, you will either strengthen existing thoughts or change your opinions. I think that is a good way of broadening your horizons. Also, It will eventually make you better understand other people.
